College Program FAQs

How to I apply for your College Programs?

Applications for our Hospitality Internship Program, Management Associate Program, and Culinary Associate Program are open each year from September through the end of November at www.mgmresortscareers.com. Questions regarding the programs may be sent to our team at CollegePrograms@mgmresorts.com, subject line MAP or HIP.

Applications for our Summer and Full-Time Executive Associate Program are open until January 1st 2016. Applicants interested in submitting an application for either program should reach out to our team at MBARecruiting@mgmresorts.com, subject line EA Program.

When do the programs begin?

  • Hospitality Internship Program - First week in June
  • Management Associate Program: Mid-July
  • Culinary Associate Program: Mid-July
  • Summer Executive Associate Program: June (flexible start date)
  • Full-Time Executive Associate Program: June or July (flexible start date)

How long are your programs?

  • The Hospitality Internship Program is a 10-week summer program.
  • The Management Associate Program and Culinary Associate Program are both 12-month programs.
  • The Summer Executive Associate Program is a 10-week summer program.
  • The Full-Time Executive Associate Program is an 18-24 month program.

What is the difference between HIP and MAP?

The Hospitality Internship Program is geared towards current full-time students who will be completing their degree after the Hospitality Internship Program ends. 1st year graduate students as well as undergraduate Sophomores, Juniors, and first-year Seniors tend to qualify for this program. If you are in between graduating with a bachelor’s degree and going back to school for your master’s degree, you would qualify for HIP.

Management Associate Program is geared towards recent college graduates who will have already completed their degree by the time the Management Associate Program starts. 2nd year graduate students, recent graduates, as well as undergraduate Seniors tend to qualify for this program. If you are in between graduating with a bachelor’s degree and going back to school for your master’s degree, you would not qualify for MAP.

Am I able to apply for multiple areas (or concentrations) within HIP or MAP?

At this time, applicants are only able to apply for one area of interest. We highly encourage applicants to apply to the area they have the most relevant work experience.

What is the difference between the Full-Time Executive Associate Program and the Summer Executive Associate Program?

The Summer Executive Associate Program is geared towards 1st year MBA students who will be completing their degree after the program ends.

The Full-Time Executive Associate Program is geared towards 2nd year MBA students and recent MBA graduates who will have already completed their degree by the time the program starts.

Can I apply for the Executive Associate Program if I do not have or are not working towards an MBA?

Both our Full-Time and Summer Executive Associate Programs require that applicants be enrolled in a full-time MBA program or have recently graduated from one. If you are a master’s student, but are not enrolled in an MBA program you may qualify to apply for our Hospitality Internship Program or Management Associate Program.

Am I able to select the property of interest?

As leaders of MGM Resorts International, we work together to identify the best talent for our company. If selected, you will be offered a specific property. However, your orientation and training will allow you to experience a variety of our properties.

Who can I keep in contact with/mail projects/essays/reports if I have any other questions?

We invite you to like our Facebook Fan Page "MGM Resorts International College Programs" to keep up to date on information about our company, leaders, and the application process. However you can e-mail our team directly at CollegePrograms@mgmresorts.com.

Do you hire international students?

As long as you have eligibility to work in the United States on a full-time basis, you are eligible to apply through the application process. Our College Programs must be completed in their entire duration.
