Culinary Associate Program

About the Culinary Associate Program

The Culinary Associate Program (CAP) is an exciting opportunity to expand your culinary skillset in a variety of challenging kitchen environments.

During the 12-month course, you will be put into various kitchen environments including production, high-volume and fine dining. We offer a structured curriculum with personalized mentoring, practical application, leadership development and enterprise-wide strategy sessions to enhance your business know-how.

You will also become familiar with the MGM Resorts International® philosophy surrounding Corporate Social Responsibility through Diversity & Inclusion, Environmental Sustainability and Community Engagement initiatives.

During your time in CAP you will develop your management skills in various areas of culinary operations within our properties. This elite program is highly coveted, and therefore a limited number of participants are selected for the program each year based on business need.

Culinary Associate positions are available at our U.S. destinations.

Upon successful completion of the program, you have the opportunity to begin a career within Culinary Operations at MGM Resorts International.

Our leadership-focused curriculum includes:

  • Learning plans designed to support all aspects of culinary operations.
  • Rotations through culinary operations to gain inter-department understanding of the business.
  • Chef Series, an exploratory learning journey through the hands of the culinary masters within our portfolio.
  • Resort Knowledge Days (RKD), a learning series that includes resort tours and discussion panels with property executives who provide insight into strategic business goals at their respective properties.
  • Division Leader Series (DLS), an exploration into the inner workings of internal operations such as measuring performance and generating revenue hosted by executives of their division.
