Things to Do in Las Vegas Based on Your Favorite “Friends” Character

The One in Vegas is almost here! On October 18-19, join MGM Resorts for a special Friends 25th Anniversary celebration in Las Vegas, the Entertainment Capital of the World. Relive some of the most iconic moments (minus any last-minute weddings) in a weekend celebration of all things- Friends. Want to make this celebration even more fun? Check out our list of ways to eat, have fun, and stay in a hotel just like your favorite Friends character might do in Las Vegas.

  • Rachel

If you are like Rachel, you like the finer things in life. Book the Fountain View King Room at the Bellagio and take in the famed Fountains of Bellagio while relaxing in a beautiful room with a marble foyer and eucalyptus furnishings. Though Rachel may not have made it to Paris, you can dine like a Parisian at Bardot Brasserie inside of ARIA to enjoy iconic French cuisine and an array of both New World and Old World Wines. May we also suggest packing lightly? Shopping at Via Bellagio is a must and Bellagio has all the designer boutiques that a fashion insider would covet.

  • Monica

Known as THE dining destination on The Strip, any food expert such as Monica would definitely book a room at the ARIA. On Friday, make a reservation at Jean George Steakhouse and ask for the Shellfish Platter. On Saturday, head over to the NoMad Restaurant at the NoMad boutique hotel and try the Ridiculous Mac & Cheese with Alaskan King Crab & Black Truffles. Sunday, book a reservation at Joël Robuchon at the MGM Grand and try the traditional French desserts. Ask for one of the karaoke rooms at Park MGM’s new speakeasy and club, On The Record and sing your heart out while enjoying its modern speakeasy atmosphere (minus the fashion snafu). Afterward, step out onto the dancefloor and dance like you are in front of the orange couch. We won’t judge you if you want to do THE routine with someone like Ross.

  • Phoebe

Someone as unique as Phoebe would love to stay at Park MGM, known for its giant branch sculpture in the ceiling of the hotel lobby and its one-of-a-kind rooms with the perfect blend of modern and classic design. While at Park MGM, head over to Best Friend (what a coincidence) and enjoy an amazing menu of a Korean and Mexican fusion featuring everything from Kimchi to Kogi Short Rib Tacos. Treat yourself to a massage that is as good as Phoebe’s at The Spa at Park MGM. We recommend booking the Hot Stone Massage after a long day of enjoying all the Friends anniversary activities on The Strip.

  • Ross

Ross and all the paleontologists out there would love to stay at the Luxor, known as an architectural wonder, for its 30-story pyramid similar in size to the pyramids of Egypt. Get in tune with your Unagi at the Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Lounge while enjoying panoramic views of the Fountains of Bellagio. Three marriages definitely indicates that Ross is in love with love, which means there is no better show to experience than Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil.

  • Joey

For the traditional New Yorker such as Joey, the New York-New York hotel is the perfect place to book a room. This hotel pays homage to The Big Apple with its own Lady Liberty statue, Brooklyn Bridge, and even authentic Greenwich Village-style eateries. For some great Italian cuisine, book a table at newly opened Ambra Italian Kitchen + Bar where you will find a menu of Italian classics that are meant to be shared and curated cocktails in an inviting, provocative atmosphere. Finish the night with tickets to Zumanity by Cirque du Soleil. Zumanity is a seductive twist on reality, just like Joey’s love life.

  • Chandler

Someone funny as Chandler should book a room at the MGM Grand, known on The Strip as “The Entertainment Authority” with acts such as KÀ by Cirque du Soleil, world-class dining featuring celebrity chefs, and unbeatable nightlife. Lucky for you and Chandler, we have the perfect place to indulge in cheesecake on The Strip! Head over to The Mirage and visit the Carnegie Delicatessen. We recommend the Torte Cheesecake, a combination of their famous chocolate mousse and award-winning cheesecake. Since Chandler always brings the funny, purchase tickets for some great comedy with Carrot Top, Brad Garrett Comedy Club, or the Aces of Comedy.
