We value diversity, understanding that it drives competition and has a positive impact on our bottom line. We are committed to developing a steady and capable portfolio of qualified suppliers and contractors and consistently seek diverse-owned suppliers who have the capability to provide us with quality, innovative products and services at a competitive rate.
Supplier Diversity at MGM Resorts: By the Numbers
- Goal to spend 15% of total biddable spend paid annually to diverse suppliers
- We’ve spent $4.6 billion with diverse-owned suppliers
- We engage more than 300-400 diverse suppliers annually
- 67 graduates from the MGM Resorts Supplier Diversity Mentorship Program since 2017, with a goal of 150 graduates by 2025
- More than 30 conferences and business fairs attended annually
Participation
Participation in the MGM Resorts Supplier Diversity program requires eligible suppliers who identify as diverse owned to obtain certification through a recognized U.S. certifying agency. Diverse-owned businesses must be at least 51% owned, controlled and operated by a:
- Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)
- African American, Asian Indian, Asian Pacific, Hispanic, American Indian
- Women Business Enterprise (WBE)
- All ethnicities
- Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
- State program that recognizes ethnic minorities and women as disadvantaged
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
- Controlled by individual(s) with disability defined as physical and/or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities
- Veteran-Owned Business/Service Disabled (VOB and SDVOB)
- A “Veteran” is a person who served on active duty with the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps or Coast Guard, for any length of time and at any place and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and/or Transgender (LGBTQ)
- Meet status qualifiers to establish LGBT identity in a fair and transparent way
