Employee Engagement & Volunteering

At MGM Resorts, our commitment to community is brought to life through action. From global initiatives to local neighborhood needs, our employees actively engage in volunteerism and philanthropy. Whether it’s chefs serving breakfast to children at a Title 1 school, assembling hygiene kits for a shelter, or cleaning a local park, volunteers show up with heart. Together, MGM Resorts employees have contributed more than 1 million volunteer hours nationwide.

Volunteer Incentives
Each quarter, MGM Resorts honors employees who go above and beyond with the Volunteer Service Award. Three winners—one from Southern Nevada, one from a regional property and one People’s Choice honoree—each receive a $2,500 donation to the charity of their choice along with a certificate signed by our CEO.
Employees are also rewarded for their volunteerism through our VolunteerREWARDS program, which provides a $100 donation to a nonprofit of their choice for every 20 hours of service. In 2024 alone, this program directed more than $260,000 to local organizations.

Corporate Responsibility Councils
On-property Corporate Responsibility Councils are a cornerstone of MGM Resorts’ culture. Each council operates with its own structure and annual plan of activities, fostering volunteerism and charitable giving at the property level. These councils also serve as hubs for leadership development and collaboration, aligning community engagement with company business objectives.
