A Legacy of Environmental Sustainability
The MGM Resorts International environmental journey began in 2007 during the creation of CityCenter , our 17 million-square-foot resort in Las Vegas. Upon opening in 2009, we earned six Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certifications from the U.S. Green Building Council, making CityCenter the largest privately funded green development project in the world.
Through our actions and advocacy, we aim to be a global leader in climate change.
We look for innovative ways to reduce negative environmental impacts of our operations.
As we recognize our leadership in environmental sustainability, we are both proud of what we have accomplished and inspired to do more. Since 2009, 16 MGM Resorts properties have earned Green Key awards, 8 have earned Green Globe certification and 9 have earned LEED Gold Certification.
We operate our business in a manner that reduces our impact on the environment and protects the planet.
