If you are a registered guest, simply add your MGM Rewards account number to your hotel reservation to earn points and Tier Credits on eligible charges to your hotel folio. You can either provide your account number at the time of booking through the MGM Resorts website or call center or present your MGM Rewards card to the front desk at the beginning of your stay. 

MGM Rewards members can earn on an array of hotel folio charges. Common examples include your nightly room rate (for bookings made directly through MGM Resorts website or call centers), resort fee, and add-ons such as early check in or late check out. 

You can also earn on non-gaming purchases charged to your hotel folio, such as eligible charges from participating food & beverage outlets. These include MGM Resorts-owned restaurants, bars, lounges and nightclubs, and select leased outlets where hotel folio charging is permitted. Other qualifying hotel folio charges include shows and attractions, spa and salon services, retail purchases, cabana rentals, weddings and business center services.

Ineligible hotel folio charges include taxes, gratuities, and complimentary redemptions. Alcohol purchases at Empire City, MGM Detroit and MGM Northfield Park do not qualify for points, but you can earn Tier Credits on alcohol purchases at these destinations.

For every U.S. dollar spent on eligible hotel folio charges, you will earn one MGM Rewards Point and four Tier Credits.

Ticketing purchases charged to your hotel folio are eligible to earn both points and Tier Credits. Earn when purchasing tickets to resident shows such as “O” and Blue Man Group from MGM Resorts box offices, as well attractions such as the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay and Tournament of Kings at Excalibur. 

If you are a registered guest at Cosmopolitan and an MGM Rewards member, you can earn points and Tier Credits by charging eligible dining expenses at participating MGM Resorts destinations to your hotel folio.

For stays booked through a third party, you may earn on your resort fee and add-ons such as early check in and late check out, but not the nightly room rate. 

If you are an MGM Rewards member who is visiting a participating food & beverage outlet at an MGM Rewards destination but are not staying as a guest (or do not charge an eligible expense to your room), simply present your MGM Rewards card upon payment at the outlet. You will earn one MGM Rewards Point and four Tier Credits for every U.S. dollar spent.

The number of MGM Rewards Points and Tier Credits earned on eligible gaming spend varies, based on game type, average bet, and length of play.

Cash or personal credit/debit card payments are eligible to earn points and Tier Credits.  Corporate credit/debit card payments are not rewards eligible.

You can request a manual adjustment within 90 days of your rewards-eligible purchase if you believe MGM Rewards Points and/or Tier Credits were not properly credited to your account. Simply present the original itemized receipt to any MGM Rewards desk or email your qualifying receipts to:

Points earned for eligible non-gaming spend will be available to be redeemed after seven days, while points earned for eligible gaming spend will be available for same-day redemption. 

With the MGM Rewards Mastercard, you can turn everyday purchases into elevated experiences. MGM Mastercard Points and Tier Credits are earned from all spend on the MGM Rewards Mastercard.
