The live event tickets sold on MGM Resorts-branded websites are owned by content providers and event promoters who determine the number of tickets to be sold and the face value price, in collaboration with MGM Resorts.
In accordance with industry practices, MGM Resorts collects the face value price of tickets along with taxable fees, non-taxable fees and Nevada Live Entertainment Tax to support services rendered, transaction processing, ticket delivery and facility fees. See below for details about the various fees related to live event ticket purchases.
MGM Resorts adds a per ticket Service Charge Fee to the face value ticket price. The Service Charge Fee varies by show based on agreements with show partners and may be shared with individual show partners.
In addition to the per ticket Service Charge Fee, a Transaction Fee is typically charged. Unlike the Service Charge Fee, which is added to each ticket, the Transaction Fee is charged once for each order.
The Transaction Fee offsets the cost of the ecommerce system and technology support. As a result, the Transaction Fee is generally not charged on Ticket Office, Concierge and Call Center purchases. The Transaction Fee varies by show based on agreements with show partners and may be shared with individual show partners.
Ticket delivery options and associated Delivery Fees are determined by MGM Resorts and can vary show by show. MGM Resorts offers a variety of ticket delivery options that vary in cost including free options, dependent upon the delivery method chosen. Ticket delivery options may include mobile tickets, will call pickup, and print-at-home (Ticket Fast). The Delivery Fee varies by show based on our agreement and may be shared with individual show partners.
MGM Resorts includes a per ticket Facility Fee as part of the ticket price. Facility Fees may vary from show to show and can be raised or lowered over time.
