Things to do in Las Vegas October 2019

Fall season is here! We have the ultimate list of events that you will not want to miss while you enjoy the cooler weather in Las Vegas. Hockey season is back and no matter what team you are rooting for, you must experience how Las Vegas does hockey at the T-Mobile Arena. Be a part of the action and explore the tenth annual Aki Matsuri Japanese Festival at the Park, explore the Bellagio Conservatory, or purchase tickets to see someone you always wanted to see. Fly, drive, take a train, or even a cross-country road trip via taxi (like Phoebe & Joey in her Yellow Cab) to Las Vegas for a one-of-a-kind Friends 25th Anniversary celebration on October 18-19. Friday, October 18, the iconic Fountains of Bellagio will unveil a brand-new show set to the catchy Friends theme song, “I’ll Be There For You” by The Rembrandts. On Saturday, October 19, visit Phoebe’s Yellow Cab Escape Room located outside New York-New York Hotel & Casino. While there, look out for the 700 square-foot LEGO re-creation featuring everything from the iconic sofa to the latest menu board. Then, take a first-row seat to the live set of The Rembrandts who will perform the iconic theme song at the Brooklyn Bridge outside the New York-New York hotel.   • Las Vegas Shows

    First up is Southern California’s favorite pop/reggae/hip-hop band the Dirty Heads at Mandalay Bay Beach on October 4. Don’t miss the Eagles’ first live performance ever of their iconic album Hotel California played in its entirety on October 5 at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Don’t miss the Jonas Brothers: Happiness Begins Tour at MGM Grand Garden Arena, October 18. Next, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena is Jimmy Buffet on October 19. Rock icon Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour with special guest co-headliner Bad Company will perform at T-Mobile Arena on October 18. Next up at the T-Mobile Arena, on October 19 is Phil Collins on his “Still Not Dead Yet” 2019 Tour. Lastly, don’t miss Twenty Øne Pilots on their global headline “BanditøTour” on October 30. We also have some great residencies at MGM Resorts. Come out to see Boyz II Men and Matt Goss at The Mirage and Lady Gaga and Aerosmith at The Park.

    Looking for somewhere new to dine and drink while on The Strip? Check out these four new amazing and diverse locations to try this month. Mama Rabbit is an ode to mezcals and tequilas from across Mexico and features a large double-sided bar, multiple rooms, live entertainment, roaming margarita carts and Las Vegas’ largest agave-based spirits selection. Next, is Ambra Italian Kitchen+Bar for those who seek an intriguing nightlife experience and a menu of Italian classics that are meant to be shared.     Two amazing events will be going down on October 26 here at MGM Resorts. Beginning at 11 am is the 10th Annual Aki Matsuri Japanese Festival making its debut at The Park. This year’s event, presented by MGM Japan, will fuse Japanese music, live entertainment, art, and cuisine – all at the heart of Las Vegas Boulevard. Debuting for the second year at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds is the USA Today Wine & Food Experience beginning at 1 pm. Taste, savor and explore the Las Vegas culinary scene featuring celebrated chefs, entertainers and industry leaders while enjoying tastings of premium spirits, fine wines, and craft beer.

  • Las Vegas Sports

    Hockey season is back beginning on October 2 and the Vegas Golden Knights, returns to the T-Mobile Arena to play against the San Jose Sharks®, Boston Bruins®, Arizona Coyotes®, Calgary Flames®, Nashville Predators®, Ottawa Senators®, Pittsburgh Penguins®, Colorado Avalanche®, Anaheim Ducks®, and Montreal Canadiens® all this month. Don’t miss your chance to see The New Day vs. Randy Orton, Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley and many more of your favorite WWE Superstars at T-Mobile Arena, October 11. Last but not least, come out to see the Professional Fighters League MMA Playoffs live at Mandalay Bay Events Center on October 17 and October 31.

  • R.U.N by Cirque du Soleil

    Prepare to clench your teeth, grip your armrest, and become the first to experience the first live-action thriller R.U.N by Cirque du Soleil at the Luxor Hotel. Opening on October 24, follow two clans through the fictional underground of Las Vegas. Purchase your tickets now and enjoy 75 minutes of real stunts, chases and combat in this immersive live show.   • Halloween 2019 in Las Vegas

    One of the most anticipated nights of the year, is right around the corner. This Halloween, at Hakkasan Nightclub inside the MGM Grand, enjoy an epic weekend with iconic celebrity DJ Calvin Harris. Try all the specialty, spooky Halloween cocktails at the ALIBI Ultra Lounge at the ARIA Resort and at the Lily Bar & Lounge in the Bellagio Resort. If near the Mandalay Bay Resort, stop by the Border Grill restaurant and help them celebrate the Day of the Dead beginning on October 16 through November 6. While there, enjoy specialty appetizers, entrees and desserts such as Pozole, Vampiro tacos, and Red Yam Flan! Join Mandalay Bay for treats and fun as they turn Shark Reef Aquarium into a spooky shipwreck on October 25 - 27, with trick-or-treating all three days.
